We Hand Make all hats to your order specifications. We typically run 7-14 Business days out M-F. Sometimes the embroidered hats take an extra few days all depending on the embroidery load.

Wash the hats in cold water. Use recommended amount of quality detergent. DO NOT use chlorine bleach or hydrogen peroxide – separately or in detergents.

Home Laundering — Westex® Woven Fabrics CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE

HYDROGEN PEROXIDE BLEACH Hydrogen peroxide, which is an oxygen bleach, must not be used on garments made with UltraSoft®, UltraSoft AC® and Indura® fabrics, either separately or in detergents. The presence of metals with hydro-gen peroxide can adversely affect the flame resistance of the fabric. SOAPS The use of soaps (salts of fatty acids) is not recommended for laundering garments constructed of UltraSoft®, UltraSoft AC® and Indura® fabrics. Soaps can form insoluble scums with hard water that are deposited on the fabric. Soap scums may be flammable, and can adversely affect the thermal protection performance of the garment if they burn. Washing/Drying Procedures It is recommended that UltraSoft®, UltraSoft AC® and Indura® fabrics be washed and dried inside out. This will minimize surface abrasion and aid in maintaining the surface appearance of garments constructed of UltraSoft®, UltraSoft AC® and Indura® fabrics. SORTING Garments made with UltraSoft®, UltraSoft AC® and Indura® fabrics should be sorted by color — light colors washed with light colors and dark with dark — to avoid dye transfer. UltraSoft®, UltraSoft AC® and Indura®fabrics should be washed with other UltraSoft® and Indura® fabrics. PRETREATING Stains, as well as deep soil lines on the collars and cuffs of garments, are more readily removed if pre-treated. Stains should be pretreated at the earliest opportunity and sufficient time allowed for the pretreatment material to penetrate and loosen the soil. The heavily soiled or stained areas should be rubbed with a full-strength, heavy-duty liquid detergent or any off-the-shelf laundry pretreatment product. Such pretreatment products should not contain bleach or hydrogen peroxide, either separately or in combination with detergent. LOAD SIZE When laundering garments constructed of UltraSoft®, UltraSoft AC® and Indura® fabrics, it is important not to overload the machine. To ensure a cleaner wash and avoid setting wash wrinkles, the load size must permit clothes to move freely through the wash water and rinse cycle. Regardless of the machine’s rated capacity in pounds, bulk — not weight — should be the limiting factor. WASH TEMPERATURE Heavily soiled garments made with UltraSoft®, UltraSoft AC® and Indura® fabrics should be washed using the “hot” water temperature setting. Garments with lesser degrees of soil can be laundered with lower water temperatures, which also will be beneficial in retaining garment color.

RETURN POLICY

Doogies Hats return policy it is an exchange only policy.
If Doogies Hats sends you the wrong size we ask that you send only the hat or hats that are wrong with a copy of the receipt to Doogies Hats 3655 N. Meridian Rd. Sanford MI 48657. If for any reason you ordered the wrong size or pattern etc., we have a 25% restock fee due to the fact that the hats are custom made to your specifications and can be very hard to find a new home for them. Upon us receiving the hat or hats, we will inspect them and if it was our mistake, we will make it right by sending you the correct hat or hats. If it was your mistake, we will send to your email with a credit code valued at 75% of your subtotal that you can use to reorder.

What can be returned?
Items must be new and in unused condition to be returned. Items that are not personalized with embroidery may be returned with a 25% restock fee with prior notification to Doogies Hats. At 989-513-4099 or email us at doogieshats@gmail.com.

Insurance claims

In the case of a lost package you first will need to check with your local post office (call the local office not the 800 #) tell them that you did not get the package and the will look up there scanner history and see where they delivered it to and get it to you. In the case they just loose it all together than we need you to email us with what the post office said and than we will start the claim. If the insurance party says that they will honor the claim we will start the order over. If you want your money back instead we will refund your order after they send us the check and it only covers the cost of the goods not the cost of shipping. Yes that’s wright they loose it and still want there money. That’s government for ya. So if you want your money back it will be less the cost of shipping.

    I ordered 7 hats last week, only now did I realize that doogieshats.com not email an invoice to its customers, a major inconvenience. Had I known I would have taken down an invoice number at the time of purchase. My name is Monica Kennedy and my email is 19moncas90@gmail.com, if that helps reference. My husband just tried out his first doogie hat which we ordered previously order#11534 in his hat size, 7 3/4, after the first hot wash and dry it is still a bit baggy, my hope is that if the sewing has not commenced, that it would be possible to change the size of the 3 hats ordered most recently in 7 3/4 to 7 5/8, the other four hats ordered were for myself and I would like all of those ordered in size 7 1/2 to remain as such.

      Im glad you found the invoice. the hats should come down a bit more in the next few washes. the way fabric is made today is shrinks even after the first hot wash we put the fabric though. be sure to dry on high heat that will help to get the final shrink out as well.

I have a pretty small head so it’s tough to find welding caps in my size (let alone in a pattern that I like) so doogies is absolutely the best option. I have spent a lot of money on hats from other companies and it seems like each one fit differently. All of the nine hats I have purchased from Doogies all fit exactly the same.     I just want to say I am very pleased with you and the hats we received. The workmanship is awesome and the turn around time was good too. I was also impressed that I received an actual phone call from you, Doogie, to make sure that you got the embroidery just right. Most people would have messed around with e-mail and slowed the whole order process down by days. The fit is great too. I was nervous about that. I was also impressed that the embroidery was just on one side of the material and not sewn all the way through so that when you wear it reversible, the embroidery isn’t backwards.     I had made an order sep 20 and didn’t get a confirmation email until September 29. I understand to time it would take to sew it. It is October 5 and usps says that it’s on its way to the augusta Georgia facility after already leaving there!!! It might not be the company’s fault but it makes not want to buy anything else if the money I spent is being used like this. Not convenient at all! My order number is 330425

      First you need to buy one add embroidery for each hat to be embroidered. Then when you checkout on the page you put your address you will see a spot called order notes put in the notes what you want on the hats.

    I had recently purchased a cap with a sweat band. After receiving my cap I didn’t notice a difference from my new one with the sweat band, and my old one without. It also doesn’t feel like there is any fabric sandwiched between the inner and outer layer. Should there a differences between the two?

    I was looking at the website on how to clean the caps but it’s too much random Info in there.I was trying to figure out how to wash the caps, so I don’t mess these caps up. Is it basically Just normal detergent and air dry

      If it is a standard hat wash in cold water with regular detergent no additives like oxiclean Dry in the dryer and all will be fine. If you have the Westex FR hat go to Westex.com for cleaning.

    I’ve been a customer for years. My recent order #340481 should be 2 of the same size caps. One for loose which I can deal with. Hopefully some shrinkage will occur and it will fit great.
    The other is so tight it gives me a headache as soon as put it on.
    Last couple orders sizing of each hat is different. Kinda disappointed.

    Hello, I recently ordered some hats size 7 with the 7.25” crown. The hats fits perfect after washed and dried for the first time. Is there anything that can be done to keep the hat from growing after halfway through my shift?

      The way that the 100% cotton cotton is woven the cap will have a small bit of stretch. keep drying hat on high heat when washing. I have had reports from others that it gets better over time less stretch that is.

    I have been a Doogies customer for years. Great quality here.
    I am wondering if I can order custom crown depth. 6 1/2 is too shallow and 7 1/4 is too deep.
    I own 2 hats that I ordered from Doogies around 3 or 4 years ago and those are the best fitting. Almost positive that I ordered custom crown depth.

      I just looked at your orders you have ordered 7 3/8 med 6 1/2″ deep you did one with 6 3/4″ deep the last one you ordered was 7 1/2 deep 7 1/4″ the bigger you go the deeper the hat will sit and looser at the same time. You will always need to add the note to make them 6 3/4″ deep in the order notes and we will gladly do that for you.

    Hi legends, I have just came across your site and your hats look awesome. I have always had my hats custom made from a pommy pipe welders wife. They were called Harry’s hats and he was known as Harry the hat. This was over 20 something years ago and now I have run out of them, recently I’ve had someone pick the last one apart and make new ones from it. They have turned out pretty good I would say 95% to the original but she is no longer interested in doing anymore. Looking at your 6 panel hats and they look so very close so I decided to order one and see what I think. The problem is guys is I’m in Australia and the postage cost is more than the hat, I guess it’s because it’s insured. I have tried to change the posting method but I can’t seem to be able to choose a different option. So my question is can you absolute legends somehow enable me to choose a different posting option? Please please please. I realise if I ordered more than one it wouldn’t be as bad but even if I ordered 7 hats it’s still expensive remembering once the US $ are converted to AU $ . Hope this message finds you well and I really really hope you guys can come to the party. I 100% know that everyone I work with at ( multiple mine sites in Western Australia and offshore jobs ) will want your hats as my hole working life as a welder ( 27+ years ) I continually have been asked about the Harry hats I’ve had and your look so similar.       Clinton Thank you for the nice words. Yes the postage is steep I do understand that 100% this unfortunately is the best price available. We have it shipped with insurance do to if the package is lost or misplaced if it is shipped first class they will not go look for it unless it has insurance. very much a dick move on the postal side. it only cost like $2.50 extra and that is a great deal considering. We do sen a lot over to the down under. during covid the only way we could ship to you was next day air and one hat would cost $75 and you guys keep buying them almost every day it hurt my heart to see that. But what can we do. my postal and your postal booth want full payment to ship.I know this is not easy to swallow but it is the best answer that we have at this time.

      Are you looking for the words embroidered on the hat? If so in the options under the size and bill size you will find embroidery and when you click on that you will have a place to type what you want.
